Jokes all round at work today. Loads of emails flying around taking the mick out of the receptionist. Best of all was saved for last when the CEO, who was out of the office recieivng all of these on his blackberry, simply sent the reply "STOP". This was promptly followed by "hammer time...." and so the constant stream continued.
Break it down.......

I enjoy the fact that my workplace is often a fun place to work and even though it's often stressful people are always up for a laugh and a bit of banter. Just don't overdose on banter, it's dangerous stuff. Joke of the day had to be; Pirate walks into a tavern goes up to the bar. Barman says "scuse me C'apn, do you realise you've got a ships wheel down your pantaloons?" Pirate looks at the barman and says "Arrrrrrrrrr, it drivin' me nuts" Terrible I know but had me in stitches for some reason.

Anyhow, today is Wednesday and that means Autocar day. Quick read through revealed that letter of the week shared my sentiments on the look of the new VW Scirocco. To be perfectly honest it still bears some resemblance to the original concept but it's lost the handsome trapezoidal grille of the concept.

I'm coming of an age where this is a car that I would and could seriously consider buying in the near future and the conservative look has seriously put me, and from the sounds of it many others, off the car. VW has seriously dropped the ball in my opinion and although a spokesman was quoted as saying this brought the car into line with VW's people's car image I can't help but think that a dose of aggression could boost appeal and steal sales from rivals.

Either way, I doubt MC Hammer will be driving one
